Jon Foreman Rocks as First Social Influencer
San Diego singer and guitarist Jon Foreman of the band Switchfoot partnered with the Water Authority to produce a pioneering series of videos highlighting the value of water to the region’s economy and quality of life. Water Authority staff took Jon on a tour of major water projects such as the Claude “Bud” Lewis Carlsbad Desalination Plant, Olivenhain Reservoir and Dam, and even inside a giant water pipe to explore the infrastructure that delivers a safe and reliable water supply to 3.3 million residents in San Diego County.
“I’ve lived in San Diego pretty much my whole life and never thought about how there’s enough water for 3.3 million people when we only get about 10 inches of rainfall per year. So, I’m thankful the San Diego County Water Authority has invested in major projects like the Olivenhain Dam to make sure we have reliable water supplies for our homes and businesses. Everything in San Diego County is brought to you by water.”
