Celebrating Water Awareness Month. Our Water. Here for Life.

May 01, 2024

Water that’s safe, reliable, and plentiful. For our communities, our economy, and our quality of life.

Water is our most basic natural resource. It gives our residents what they need to live, work, and play. It helps our economy grow. It’s what keeps our region thriving.

But our region doesn’t have many natural sources of water, and it’s prone to extended periods of drought. So we work hard to sustain the high quality of life you’ve come to know and love about San Diego County. We’ve made long-term investments in infrastructure that have carried us through the past two droughts with no impact to our community. These investments still provide benefits today and will continue to do so long into the future. We know dry years will return. And when they do, we’ll be ready for them.
