Join The Water Industry

The water industry offers a career path with competitive pay and excellent benefits. Many operational positions require technical skills that may be obtained through on-the-job training and industry-specific certifications. The Water Authority is dedicated to creating an inclusive, respectful culture that encourages all employees to contribute to their fullest potential. We are committed to hiring and retaining a skilled, diverse, and innovative workforce and we are continually working to ensure our recruitment practices help us attract the most talented, diverse team. Some of these practices include:

  • Partnering with local colleges to offer educational programs for technical and management level careers.
  • Outreach programs to reach underrepresented groups in the water industry such as women in water programs, transitioning military, etc.
  • Offering virtual exams whenever possible to facilitate candidate participation.
  • Not using artificial intelligence to auto-screen applications and removing personal identifiable information (i.e. name and address) in the subject matter expert review process to avoid bias.
