The San Diego County Water Authority will host a unique water magic show as a part of the Month of the Military Child for the kids of Miramar Marine Air Station Thursday, April 17th at 2:00 p.m. in the base theater on Elrod Avenue.
This high energy, fast-paced production incorporates state-of-the-art digital 3D sound and special effects. The show focuses on the water cycle, water treatment, conservation, water molecules, properties of water and our water delivery systems. The kids will also be given a companion project workbook.. The Water Authority is honored to be able to provide this program to the children of our military families.
The “Splashtastic” magic show, staring master-magician Kevin Barnes (aka Dr. Wilderness), is presented to Kindergarten through 5th grade student throughout San Diego County, and is one of many programs of the San Diego County Water Authority’s education program. Annually, the school education program reaches over 100,000 students and 3,500 teachers. The Magic Show alone reaches 60,000 students a year. The San Diego County Water Authority underwrites all costs related to providing the show.
