The San Diego County Water Authority's regional water transportation, treatment, and storage system is fully operational and meeting all member agency demands, despite Thursday's power outage.

Water is continuing to flow into the county and to the region's 24 member retail agencies.  Water in the regional system is safe.  Residents should follow normal water conservation practices and check with their local water provider for any special instructions in their area.  Those who need help finding their local provider can use the member agency search feature on the Water Authority's home page www.sdcwa.org.

The Water Authority is also posting updates on Facebook at www.facebook.com/sandiegocountywaterauthority.

  • The San Diego County Water Authority sustains a $268 billion regional economy and the quality of life for 3.3 million residents through a multi-decade water supply diversification plan, major infrastructure investments and forward-thinking policies that promote fiscal and environmental responsibility. A public agency created in 1944, the Water Authority delivers wholesale water supplies to 23 retail water providers, including cities, special districts and a military base.
