Imagine a Day Without Water

October 09, 2024

From your morning coffee to washing the dishes after dinner, every moment of your day depends on water. But what if you had to face a day without it?

Every October 17, the US Water Alliance hosts “Imagine a Day Without Water” — a chance to collectively acknowledge the critical role water plays in every aspect of our lives.

We know that water is not just a resource; it’s the rhythm of our lives.

From sunrise to sundown, the Water Authority is here to ensure you have the safe and reliable water you need to power your day — quenching your thirst; keeping your kids, plants, and pets healthy and happy; and nourishing our environment. Safe, clean water also sustains our region’s vital industries and helps our economy grow. Farming, brewing, manufacturing, tourism and every other industry depends on access to water.

Since our region doesn’t have many natural sources of water and it’s prone to extended periods of drought, we’ve made significant investments to ensure that you can enjoy water security for years to come.
