Water Authority Engages with the Community
The Water Authority has a longstanding commitment to informing and engaging the community about key issues, projects and programs that impact the regional water supply. Each year, Board members and staff present to more than 100 business, community, and civic groups.
In communities with active or proposed Water Authority construction projects, the Water Authority is committed to ensuring awareness about neighborhood impacts.

Educational Programs
Citizens Water Academy
More than 700 regional leaders have participated in the Water Authority’s award-winning Citizens Water Academy in recent years, and stakeholders can sign up for information about future sessions.

Education programs offered by the Water Authority are popular with schools countywide because they engage students and help teachers meet instructional requirements for STEM education.

In partnership with other water agencies, the Water Authority offers a variety of tours for stakeholders to learn about the water infrastructure that serves the region.
