Are you a small business fishing for a contract that's the right size for your company?
The Sheltered Market Program designates competition for certain contracts to small, registered, certified businesses only.
The Sheltered Market Program applies to procurements that are greater than $10,000 and up to $150,000, and for which there is a competitive pool of three or more small businesses in The Network, the Water Authority’s online vendor registration and solicitation notification system.
To participate, a small business must:
Be registered in The Network (you'll be notified when a Sheltered Market Program meets your profile). Registration status in The Network must be Active. Active status is maintained through an easy, annual self-renewal process.
Be a certified small business. A small business must have current certification with either the California Department of General Services OR the U.S. federal government’s System for Award Management (SAM). The current small business certification expiration date must be documented in The Network.
Water Authority can certify your small business. Click here for more information on how to certify on The Network.
Sheltered Market solicitations are identified on our Contracting Opportunities list.
