Regional business outreach event brings together public agencies and private companies
October 18, 2010

Billions of dollars in public works projects will be infused into the San Diego regional economy over the next decade. Private businesses can learn about these opportunities as well as strategies for successfully bidding on this work during the 12th annual Paths to Partnerships regional forum, planned for Thursday, October 21, at the San Diego Convention Center. More than 600 participants are expected to attend this year’s forum.

During the daylong event, a variety of seminars will be offered to help small businesses learn the finer points of building relationships with public agencies, interviewing and bidding techniques, and teaming with other companies to bid on large contracts. A session will also be held on using social media to increase business and networking opportunities. More than 70 exhibitors will also be available throughout the day, including nearly 30 public agencies that can answer questions about upcoming projects.

Walk-in registration is available from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. The exhibit hall opens at 8:30 a.m., and seminars begin at 9:30 a.m. Cost on the day of the event, which includes lunch, is $60.

Paths to Partnerships is sponsored by the San Diego County Water Authority, State of California and 27 other commercial organizations and public and governmental agencies.
