Transparency & Accessibility

To make information about regional water issues more accessible, the Water Authority enhanced its community outreach efforts with several new communication tools and initiatives.

It launched a free “Water News” mobile application to enable people to get news and information on regional water issues, including Board agendas and documents, easily and conveniently on their smartphones. In addition, The Water Authority made following its activities easier by launching a Twitter feed (@sdcwa). The Water Authority also created “Channel H2O”  – short videos posted to the Water Authority’s website, to the Water News app and to YouTube that make announcements, provide updates, or explain water issues.
