The Mission Trails Pipeline Tunnel will relieve hydraulic constraints along the Second Aqueduct located North of Mission Gorge and will result in eliminating up to ten Elliot Vents through Mission Trails Regional Park.

| East County Regional Treated Water Improvements Program - Otay Flow Control Facility The project will expand the capacity of the existing Otay 14 Flow Control Facility from 8 mgd to 16 mgd. The facility is comprised of a partially below grade structure with inlet and outlet piping. The address of the facility is 290 South. Third Street, El Cajon, CA 92019.
This expansion will require upsizing about 75’ of 16” piping to 20”. Several mechanical equipment/appurtenances will require replacement including isolation, control, and air valves, venturi flowmeter, valve electric actuator, and minor instrumentation. The existing facility will be subject to civil, mechanical and electrical work. Minor structural modifications to the building will also be required.
Construction is expected to commence in October 2008 and be completed by August 2009.
