Water Standby Availability Charge
The Water Authority levies and collects an annual water standby availability charge, which is $10 per acre or parcel, whichever is greater. The charge is added to the Secured Tax Roll collected via the County of San Diego's property tax collection process and is remitted by the County to the Water Authority. The collections are restricted to pay for the Capital Improvement Program and are deposited into the Pay-As-You-Go Fund.
