Water Authority hosts Paths to Partnerships Forum
Water industry forum features contracting opportunities for local businesses
The San Diego County Water Authority and its 23 member agencies will host the seventh annual “Creating Paths to Partnerships Networking Forum.” The annual workshop provides information to contractors, consultants, vendors, small businesses and suppliers about contracting opportunities in the water industry in San Diego County.
The Honorable Ron Oden, Mayor of Palm Springs, Calif. will provide the luncheon keynote address.
The event will take place from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday, October 13, 2005 at the DoubleTree Hotel Mission Valley located at 7450 Hazard Center Drive, San Diego, Calif. 92108. It includes workshop sessions, agency roundtables and networking opportunities. Registration is $65 per person until September 16, $75 after September 16 and $90 on the day of the event. A portion of the proceeds for each registration will support the Paths to Partnerships Scholarship Program, which assists local high school seniors to further their education in disciplines related to the Water Industry. Last year’s event resulted in $30,000 in scholarship awards to qualifying students. Donations to the scholarship program in addition to the registration fee are welcome and appreciated.
