Moosa Canyon Erosion Control Project

The project site is approximately 2,000 feet west of the Camino del Rey undercrossing of Interstate 15, where the Water Authority's pipelines, 3, 4 and 5 are located.

Project Description: The project will consist of constructing permanent erosion control to protect the pipelines. The channel will be excavated to approximately 4 to 7 feet below grade and extend approximately 2 to 3 feet into the existing channel walls. The excavation will be lined with geofabric and ½ ton rip rap will be placed in the excavation area up to finish grade. Some of the excavated soils will be used onsite as compacted fill, minimizing the amount of temporary truck traffic in the area.

This project will not impact water delivery to the area.
