Youth and Scout Merit Patch Program
The patch program is designed for youth groups ages 6-15 such as Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and Camp Fire Boys and Girls. The program consists of requirements designed to teach children about their water supply and conservation. Upon completion, each group member will receive an embroidered patch.
Reuben H. Fleet Science Center Exhibit
In 2009, the Water Authority added a second exhibit to its original display at the Fleet Science Center. This exhibit is located between the Water Authority exhibit and an SDG&E exhibit to help show the connection between water and energy usage. Through the use of pumps and meters, students learn how much energy it takes to move water. They will also see that by conserving water, they can conserve energy too.
COST: There is an entrance fee to the Fleet Science Center. For hours and admission fee information, call (619) 238-1233 or visit www.rhfleet.org.
