Correction: Water shortage triggers search for new sources

The correction refers to this article, published March 1.

Correction: This article incorrectly reported that an $11.1 billion water bond issue on the November ballot would fund construction of a canal that would go around the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta to deliver water to Southern California.
The measure could set the stage for such a canal, but would not set aside money for its construction. According to the San Diego County Water Authority, water agencies and their ratepayers would pay the construction cost.
