Imperial Valley Office
The San Diego County Water Authority opened its Imperial Valley Office in January
2005.The office is staffed by Water Authority public affairs representative
and long time Imperial Valley resident, Grace Sesma.
Water Authority board members regularly visit the office to forge a stronger
relationship with Imperial Irrigation District board members and the community.
The Water Authority is a member of the Brawley, Calexico and El Centro chambers
of commerce. It also sponsors community events such as the Joint Chambers of
Commerce July 4th Annual Freedom Fest Celebration at Imperial Valley College;
the annual Brawley Cattle Call Rodeo; MANA Las Primeras Recognition Awards;
the Zapata Club Annual Dinner, and the annual Mariachi Festival in Calexico.
The Imperial Valley office is key to the mutually beneficial implementation
of the water transfer and serves as a resource to the community.
The Water Authority Imperial Valley outreach office is located in the west
side of the Valley Plaza Shopping Center (off Main Street and Waterman Avenue),
203 S. Waterman Avenue in El Centro.
